Terms of Service

Last updated: July 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of AccessGuard (the “Service”). By using AccessGuard, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What AccessGuard is

AccessGuard is an automated accessibility scanning tool built on axe-core, an open-source WCAG testing engine. It surfaces machine-detectable accessibility issues on the pages you scan. It is not legal advice, and a good scan score is not a guarantee or certification of legal compliance with the ADA, WCAG, or any other law or standard. Automated tools can only catch a subset of accessibility issues — human review is still required for full compliance.

2. Your responsibility when scanning

You must have the legal right to scan the URLs you submit — either because you own or operate the site, or because the page is publicly accessible and you have a good-faith basis to scan it. You're responsible for how you use scan results; AccessGuard is a diagnostic tool, not a substitute for your own judgment about what you're permitted to scan.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use AccessGuard to overload, disrupt, or attack third-party servers, to scan sites that have explicitly asked you to stop, or to scan sites in a way that disregards their published crawling preferences. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

The Pro plan is a monthly subscription billed through our payment processor, Creem. The current price is shown before you check out. You can cancel anytime from your account page — your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that. We don't automatically prorate or refund partial billing periods, but if you believe you were charged in error, email us at support@accessguard.qiuyuelab.com and we'll look into it in good faith.

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee that scans will be uninterrupted, error-free, or catch every accessibility issue on a page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

6. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
